The National Hospital Organ Donation campaign was launched in June 2011 as a special effort of the Workplace Partnership for Life (WPFL). The campaign challenges hospitals to raise awareness and educate employees and the community about the crucial need for organ, eye, and tissue donation.
Organ donors save lives. A single donor could save 8 lives and positively impact hundreds more. The hospital organ donation campaign is an endeavor to register doctors within the hospitals facilities and enlist organizations to be partners in promoting donor registration.
Methodist Stone Oak Hospital received Silver Recognition for our organ, eye, and tissue donation and registrations efforts between August 1, 2014 and April 3, 2015.
Great job to everyone who participated, and most of all thank you for your caring support in giving a gift for life!
